If I had a book club

I’ve always wanted to be in a book club, but I never have been. I guess it’s mostly because I don’t really know where one goes to find one. I suppose I could do one online, but for my first one, I think I’d like it to be in person. Or perhaps I’ve just watched The Jane Austen Book Club way too many times. If I did belong to one, these are the books I’d pick to read or re-read:

“The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society”

I loved this book. I’d read it again in a heartbeat. The historical aspect of it, made it so interesting and gripping. I love WWII history. I wanted to know what happened to Elizabeth, and I loved watching Juliet’s relationships with the people of Guernsey grow and evolve.

“To Kill a Mockingbird”

This was my favorite book out of all the required reading in high school. I’ve always wanted to read it again as an adult.

“Northanger Abbey”

This is the only Jane Austen book I haven’t read. I have it sitting on my shelf, but I haven’t grabbed it yet. I think it’d be fun to read this with a group of people. And really, is a book club officially a book club if they haven’t done a Jane Austen novel? Again, perhaps I’ve watched the Jane Austen Book Club a few too many times. ;)

Harry Potter series

I read these mostly in college and the few years afterwards. I’m also re-reading them with my kiddo. Again, these are books it’d be fun to read with a group. It’s fun just reading and talking about them with my kidlet. I can imagine the discussions you’d have would be interesting.

A Court of Thorns and Roses series

I binge read this series this year and loved it. I can’t wait for the newest one to release. This is another series that I think would be interesting to read in a group.

Torn between her childhood crush and the boy who threatens her dreams, Pippa finds herself at risk of losing her best friend, her future, and the boy who makes her heart melt.
