Synopsis:

God has created you to be confident, bold, and free-free to be yourself, free from the need to compare yourself to others, and free to step into His destiny for your life.

Based on her #1 New York Times bestseller The Confident Woman, Joyce Meyer taps into concerns and issues that many women commonly experience-lack of confidence, poor self-image, dysfunctional relationships-and provides encouragement and practical wisdom to help resolve problems in those areas of life. In today's busy, fast-paced world, it's easy to forget the need to slow down and live in the present, while holding on to personal "baggage" that's keeping you from being the woman God created you to be. But this powerful daily devotional, revised and expanded with new insights, inspirational quotes, and practical action items, will help you on your journey toward a confident life filled with love, laughter, and God's acceptance, one day at time.

Growing in faith and confidence in God

What did I like about the book?

The book is thick but small so each daily devotional is a simple way to start the day and get into a positive mindset. The devotional has a weekly focus and prayer with each page a different day with a scripture quote, reflective paragraph, and 1-2 sentence prayer. I like to read the book at breakfast with my kids so we can take a quick moment to focus on God. We don't have a lot of time getting ready for the day and planning our agenda but growing in faith is important.

Joyce Meyer has been recommended multiple times over the years from different friends and family members. This is the first book I've actually read so far. She is known for really digging into the scripture and being challenging. The Confident Woman Devotional by Joyce Meyer is easy to read and understand, perfect for any level of faith.

What did I not like about the book?

Some of the devotions are not very deep or imaginative. On a couple of occasions I've asked my daughter to think about the scripture and come up with something else (aside from the topic of the day) it is referring to that can help us today. That has created some great morning dialogue.

Recommend? Yes

If you are starting out in devotions, don't have a lot of time, or sharing the gospel with young people- this is a great conversation starter.
